What are the health benefits of sesame seed oil?

1. High in antioxidants

This oil is rich in antioxidants, meaning it can fight damage caused by free radicals that can harm your skin and lead to inflammation. 


2. Anti-inflammatory 

Sesame seed oil can help to reduce swelling and inflammation. It has been known to help with joint pain and premenstrual cramps. 


3. Naturally conditioning

It helps keep the skin soft and supple, tightening facial skin to prevent widening of pores. Feeling wary about using oils on the skin? Non-comedogenic oils don’t clog pores, making it suitable for acne-prone skin.


4. May protect against UV rays 

Some research shows Sesame seed oil appears to protect against UV rays which can harm your skin. Sesame oil resists up to 30% of UV rays, while other oils only resist up to 20%. Being packed with antioxidants, this is most likely cause for this. However, remember it's best to always wear SPF to stay safe and keep your skin look healthy and youthful.
